EXCUTIVE SUMMARY OF MALARIA PROJECT WHICH BASE ON MASS REPLACEMENT CAMPAIGN
     

INTRODUCTION

 Magu Poverty Focus On older People Rehabilitation Centre is implementing Malaria project which funded by PSI in collaboration with Ministry of Health and Social welfare, but  on other hand this project is implemented in all 24th  wards of Magu District council in collaboration with TANDABUI, Magu District Hospital, and community change agents. This project base on MASS REPLACEMENT CAMPAIGN and started to be implemented in Magu District council since 8th march 2015.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE
Sensitizing the community on increasing the consistent and correct use of LONG LASTING INCECTICIED NETs to general population of Tanzania with more emphasis to pregnant women, children under five years and addressing other barriers on utilization of LLINs.



METHODOLOGIES OF MASS REPLACEMENT CAMPAIGN

CCAs sensitizing the community concerning malaria through:-

v  Public meeting

v  School visiting

v  Individual discussion

v  Group discussion

v  Hospital visiting

v  Households discussion

  ACTIVITIES OF MALARIA PROJECT

Mass replacement campaign activities normally base on sensitizing the community on the  following

a)      The use of Long Lusting Insecticides Nets

b)      Preventive measure of malaria to pregnant women

c)      Emphasizing Pregnant women to attend clinic earlier

d)      Men participation on emphasizing  their family on the use of LLINs

e)      Malaria treatment

f)       Environmental sanitation
